Explore Your Fit

Connect with Golden Seeds members at a free Information Session or Office Hours event to learn about angel investing and decide if your company is ready to apply for funding.

We Want to Meet You!

Golden Seeds is eager to meet women entrepreneurs who are in the early stages of launching their companies and who are considering seeking funding. They may or may not yet be ready to apply for funding.

We offer several ways to interact with experienced Golden Seeds investors. Currently, all meetings are being held virtually via Zoom. Learn about our offerings and decide which is right for you.

Information Sessions

Information Sessions offer a brief overview of the basics of raising capital and how the Golden Seeds process works. You will not receive feedback specific to your business plan during this meeting, but it is a great entryway to understanding the fundamentals of angel investing. All founders of women-led companies, regardless of stage or location, are welcome to attend an Information Session.

Office Hours

Office Hours are an opportunity for entrepreneurs to discuss their companies with Golden Seeds members. These are unstructured discussions that are particularly helpful for companies that are likely to seek funding in the next 12 to 24 months. If you are considering applying for funding, we urge you to review our investment criteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

Golden Seeds is a strong fit for early-stage, U.S.-based companies with at least one woman in a significant leadership role, operating in technology, health care, or consumer sectors. If you are seeking your first or second round of outside capital, and you are open to the due diligence and community engagement that Golden Seeds involves, you are likely a fit. You may want to attend an Information session or Office Hours session where you will learn about our process. Please review the investment criteria

Golden Seeds Information Sessions are group overviews led by a member. They cover the basics of angel funding and how the Golden Seeds process works. They are open to founders at any stage and are a good starting point if you are new to raising capital. Golden Seeds Office Hours are smaller, unstructured discussions between founders and investors. They are particularly valuable for companies likely to seek funding within the next 12 to 24 months, because they allow founders to get direct, specific feedback from investors before submitting an application.

Golden Seeds does not offer a formal pitch coaching program. However, Office Hours sessions provide an opportunity for founders to discuss their companies directly with experienced investors and receive candid feedback on their business, their readiness, and their approach before applying. For founders earlier in the process, Information Sessions include time for questions and can help you understand what investors are looking for at the pitch stage.

Yes. All founders of women-led companies are welcome to attend a Golden Seeds Information Session, regardless of stage or location. Office Hours are also open to women entrepreneurs but are particularly well-suited for companies that are actively considering applying for funding in the near term. Both programs are also currently held virtually via Zoom.

Attending a session does not commit you to any next step. If, after attending, you believe Golden Seeds is a fit for your company, the next step is to review the investment criteria in full and submit a formal application. There is a non-refundable $50 application fee. If you are not yet ready to apply, you may attend additional sessions or register for a future Office Hours as your company progresses.
