Stephanie Hanbury-Brown

Managing Director
Stephanie Hanbury-Brown spent 20 years in financial services in Sydney, London and New York. The majority of her career was with JPMorgan where she headed several global businesses. In 2004 she founded Golden Seeds. She is also a former member of New York Angels and an investor with Boldcap Ventures. Stephanie currently retains board positions with Foster Wheeler Limited, RiskMetrics Group and Artemis Woman. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.

Peggy Wallace

Portfolio Manager
Peggy Wallace, General Partner of the Golden Seeds Fund, is the Portfolio Manager for Golden Seeds. Peggy's 20 + year career prior to becoming an investor was in financial services. The majority of her career was with J.P. Morgan/Chase where she specialized in structured finance, risk management, and financial services M&A. Peggy retains a board position with private company Chromis Fiberoptics. She holds a B. A. from The George Washington University.

Michael Elgarten

Managing Director
Michael Elgarten spent more than 20 years on Wall Street growing niche businesses within large corporations. He ran program trading sales at Merrill Lynch, helped build out both UBS' equity derivative sales, and Morgan Stanley's corporate equity derivative sales efforts. As a managing director at Bank of America Securities, he spearheaded its corporate equity derivatives unit and also created and ran the firm's client solutions group which advised on all aspects of corporate capital structure. Mike has been making angel investments since 1997. A graduate of Lafayette College, Mike received his MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business.

Kindra Tatarsky

Director of Screening and Deal Flow
Kindra Tatarsky has been in the research and investment business for over 15 years. Prior to Golden Seeds, she was a partner with Forerunner Ventures, a consumer-focused VC firm. Previous to working with private companies, Kindra spent 10 years in Equity Research, with the majority of her career at Montgomery/BofA Securities. Kindra has also been involved in numerous IPO’s, requiring her to help young companies develop, launch and sustain a public presence. Kindra graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in English, and a Business minor and holds a CFA certification.

Mirella Cicio

Investor Liaison
Mirella Cicio is the Golden Seeds Investor Liaison. She has extensive administrative experience working with senior executives in large corporations as well as sole proprietors. Before joining Golden Seeds, Mirella worked at JPMorgan Chase for fifteen years where she served as an administrator, web content manager, and expense manager in various areas, including Global Custody, Private Banking, and Equities. She graduated with honors from Grover Cleveland High School, Ridgewood, New York, and has served as a member of the Arista Honor Society. She is a licensed NYS Notary Public and is fluent in Italian.

Michelle Young

Entrepreneur Liaison
A graduate of Indiana University, Michelle worked in a variety of areas in banking including mortgage and commercial loan. She left the banking field to pursue a marketing position with the cable TV industry. Marriage and children changed her career path to include many years of volunteer work in the community, schools, and church. Michelle has now reentered the workplace as the Golden Seeds Entrepreneur Liaison.
